JOURNAL BEARINGS

We manufacture Journal Bearings with babbitted bores and thrust faces. The thrust faces may have flat or tapered lands. Oil supply details feed both areas of the bearings. Sizes range from 5" to 21". Larger ones can be manufactured upon request.

Journal Bearings may have solid or split shells, cylindrical or spherical O.D.'s Lubricated by pressure, gravity, wicks, or oil rings. Babbitted bores accomodate each lubrication system and can include anti-whirl dams, or eccentric lobes to create an oil wedge. precision halves are made identical within .0005" - .001" for interchangeability and lower inventory costs.
